Halloween 2020: the revenge of the jewels

Halloween 2020: the revenge of the jewels

The pandemic does not stop the desire to play with beauty, luxury and accessories. Especially on the occasion of one of the most anticipated holidays of the year, from the States to Europe: Halloween.

Like every year, the scariest night will put a strain on the search for the perfect outfit, even at home, and the jewelry and bijoux houses, for their part, are offering a series of absolutely prestigious precious items, in dark and gloomy tones. , born to shine even on this occasion.

Like Swarovski, which in 2020 launched a line dedicated to Halloween, with crystal bracelets created from small avio and black skulls and onyx-colored pendants combined with golden chains for necklaces, bracelets and, why not, earrings.

Among the most interesting - and dark - proposals is also the ring signed Netali Nissim, in blackened gold and black diamonds, with a large dark eye in the center, precisely in onyx. Maybe to combine with the stud earrings or single piercing with raised skulls proposed by Maria Tash, in gold and delightful pink opals.

Skulls again protagonists, this time in the Santa Muerte version inspired by Mexican traditions, for Pippo Perez with his ring with black and white diamonds that form butterflies and flowers to rest on the cap, softening the image between yellow, pink, white and sapphires , and for the Bliss pendants with luminous skulls that give light - also in the black variant - to any other accessory and look. Then the irreverent ring by Gucci, inserted in the Flora collection and featuring a skull, white gold, diamonds and sapphires with a romantic flower between the teeth, and the cute luxury version skulls signed by Zancan and ideal for her and for him, with pavé diamonds also in black version.

Christian Dior exaggerates with the magnificence of his brooch with skull in onyx and zircons, while Giovanni Raspini proposes a ring in line with the Maison's collections in beaten silver for an antique and vintage effect.

Not only icons, however: in addition to the classic black cat, in crystal, signed once again by Swarovski, here are the original reversible rings by Melissa Kaye in blackened gold and white and black diamonds that can be worn on both sides, and that of theatrical inspiration with white gold and dark diamonds by Garavelli which takes up, in the shapes, the profile of a face.

Pianegonda enters the scene with a ring in silver and galvanic black gold, while Borgioni with a line in black rhodium-plated gold and dark diamonds. And then the Victorian style, the most symbolic and close to the Halloween tradition in terms of atmosphere: we go from the most classic brooches to the very dark and chandelier earrings by Jared Lehr with diamonds, to the Mary Ching brooch with a large eye of white diamonds pavé and dark and the one signed by Repossi for the Staple collection in blackened gold and linear, almost essential shapes.

And then the snake, a symbol of lust and sin but also of the unknown, like that of Bulgari, perhaps for the diamond and emerald ring, and the refined Memento Mori collection by Canadian designer Holly Dyment: each ring is a work of art where elements such as skulls are proposed with colorful and creative variations. And what about the frightening and fascinating ring from Damiani's Animalia collection: a brilliant and large spider.E per lui? The choice goes to the irreverent - and angry - twins of Deakin & Francis in white gold, diamonds and rubies in the shape of skulls.
